Stopping Malware
Over the last few years Malware and Spyware has changed dramatically and your anti-virus signature based packages that run on your PC just can’t keep up. We’ve found another way (rather than using your ISP content filtering) to block this before it reaches your desktop/laptop. Stopping malware is a must to ensure your data remains safe and uncompromised.
In addition to your anti-virus product we recommend installing a free content filter called “K9 Web Protection”.

How to configure content filtering
Once you’ve got K9WebProtection installed and licensed you’ll need to set things up. As an minimum we suggest the following settings.
Select “Custom Categories”
What ever categories you choose to block, it’s crucial that you block the “Malware/Spyware Sources” category.
Set your safe search filtering
Once you’ve set your categories you need to set safe search up so that all major search engines filter out unwanted search results.
Set your “Other Settings”
Finally you should enable the “filter secure traffic” optino to ensure that any HTTPS sites are also filtered.
